PM727M Retrofit with Acorn CNC controller and Techno CNC Lathe
We take a tour of MecTechMike's garage shop and talk about how he retrofitted a Precision Matthews PM727M to CNC using the Acorn CNC controller with Clearpath AC servos. After that, Mike shows us his Techno CNC Lathe and goes over how he updated it with another Acorn and Clearpath axis motors. We removed the old open loop stepper motors on our in house Techno test bed lathe and replaced them with Teknic Clearpath Stepper Killer axis motors and run a test part in this video, start to finish un edited no commentary.
